Rune Matthiesen

Principal Investigator, NOVA Medical School

Rune has a master's in X-ray crystallography and a PhD in computational proteomics. He was introduced to exosomes and extracellular vesicles in CIC bioGUNE when working in collaboration with Juan M. Falcon with whom he also has his first exosome publication from 2008. His passion is computational analysis of biological data.  

 

Fun fact: His passion is to make head kicks (controlled kicks, no KO) in taekwondo tournaments, which he has practiced together with his son for the last seven years.
