On January 11, 2023, NMS Research received the visit of fourteen students and two professors from Colorado State University, located in Fort Collins in the United States of America.

NMS Research was introduced by principal investigator Paulo Pereira and then the visit took place in several laboratories of NMS Research, including those of principal investigators Gabriela Silva, João Conde and Sandra Tenreiro, where students had the opportunity to come into direct contact with each lab's research projects, from fundamental to more applied biology.

Students also had the opportunity to visit our Fly Facility, where they were received by researcher Lara Carvalho, and also the NOVA Medical School headquarters building.

The visit to the NMS was part of a program called Global Biomedics and Health Care in Portugal, and occurred in several research institutes in the Lisbon metropolitan area. The program is organized by Sara Las Cunha from CIEE Lisboa (Council on International Educational Exchange), a North American international education organization and partner of NOVA FCSH.
