Catarina holds a bachelor's in Biochemistry and is completing her master's in Biochemistry for Health. She focuses on developing organotypic models for studying Metabolic-dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease and understanding EVs' role in disease progression. She is driven by a passion for impactful research.
Fun Fact: Catarina is an animal lover with many pets, all named after sweets. From Cookie the dog to Milka the cat, her home is a delightful mix of cuddly, sweet-named friends!
