Paulo has a PhD in Bioenergetics, where he worked on mass spectrometry analyses of cancer cell metabolism, mainly the Krebs cycle. He later explored various metabolic links to RNA regulation using next-generation sequencing approaches. His current interests are on metabolic modifications of RNA, and their role in rare diseases.
Fun Fact: He likes fish, scuba diving, and body surfing waves.
