Thierry Dubois

Principal Investigator, Institut Curie

Thierry is the Head of the Breast Cancer Biology Group since 2005. He obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. He did post-doc fellows at the National Institute for Medical Research (London), the University of Edinburgh (UK), and Institut Curie (Paris). His group aims to gain a deeper understanding of the molecular pathology of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) to propose new therapeutic strategies to mitigate the risk of relapse and metastatic progression, two major concerns for TNBC patients. The investigations revolve around enzymes responsible for post-translational modifications that are either overexpressed or activated in TNBC biopsies when compared to normal breast tissue. While his research initially centered on protein kinases, his group is now exploring the therapeutic potential of targeting protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs) in TNBC.
