
The Doctoral Program in Health Sciences aims to be a national and international benchmark for quality in Health Sciences, stimulating the development of high-quality research projects at an international level, promoting interdisciplinarity in this vast and important area of study, taking advantage of the existing skills and resources of excellence for its lines of research: Chronic Diseases and Aging; Population Health and Nutrition; New Cellular and Molecular Therapies.
The cycle of studies leading to a Doctorate in Health Sciences provides training based on research and the development of complementary skills in the areas of medicine, biomedicine, and related scientific and technological areas, focusing on the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary nature of scientific issues with an impact on human health, based primarily on research carried out at NOVA Medical School, ranging from fundamental biomedical research to translational, clinical, and epidemiological research.
