On September 19, the Lisbon_AHA Consortium was formalized. This event brought together more than 30 partners from our Reference Center for the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), an initiative launched by the European Commission with the aim of promoting digital transformation in the field of Active and Healthy Ageing.
The opening session was attended by the Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, Professor João Sàágua and the President of CCDR LVT I.P., Architect Teresa Almeida. The event served as a stage and exhibition for the various projects from the 4 strategic sectors of the quadruple helix - Academia, Industry, Public Entities and Civil Society - that are currently under development in the region.
The event reflected the ongoing commitment of NOVA Medical School and its Director, Professor Helena Canhão, to promote a society where quality of life is ageless, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to age with dignity and health, through the implementation of strategies that help promote better and healthier lives.
The formalization of this Consortium, which includes entities representing academia, the social and business sectors, as well as research, took the form of the signing of a Memorandum between NOVA University Lisbon, NOVA Medical School, CCDR LVT and 30 other partners present at the event.
