Plano Nacional de Leitura (PNL) and the Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior have made a line of funding available to support the creation of Reading Clubs
In this context, the NOVA Medical School Students' Association Reading Club was created, a joint initiative with the Library, with the aim of creating a structured space where good practices can be shared and inspiring reading suggestions can be found.
In the fast-paced world of medical and nutritional education, where study and clinical practice dominate the scene, it's easy to lose sight of the importance of literature as a vital tool for holistic personal development.
The AENMS Reading Club aims to hold a series of meetings, each on a different theme, where books are suggested, read and then discussed.
The theme for the various activities in this first year of the Reading Club is freedom, in association with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25, 1974.
The AENMS Reading Club was created to promote reading practices in the NMS community (students, teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff), but all those who wish to take part are welcome.
