A NOVA Medical School (NMS) recebeu no dia 22 de maio a visita da Bastonária da Ordem dos Nutricionistas.

A delegation from the NOVA International Staff Week visited NOVA Medical School today under the Beyond the Traditional Erasmus Programme – International Credit Mobility, organized annually by Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.

Researchers and Professors from NOVA Medical School, Miguel Xavier and Cláudia Almeida, participated in the conference organized by Jornal Económico and Biogen Portugal.

On the 4th of May, Professors Conceição Calhau and Helder Dores gave two lectures at Secondary Schools in Funchal – Escola Secundária Francisco Franco and Liceu Jaime Moniz.

A nossa Faculdade encheu com a visita dos alunos do ensino secundário de todo o país, durante o Open Day que decorreu no passado dia 4 de maio.

Nova Medical School hosted the event that gathered students from the master's in medicine and bachelor's degree in nutrition science with the community of researchers, and aimed to promote the participation of undergraduate students in scientific internships and present the reality of current biomedical and clinical research of NMS.

In the first edition of ADN Award, created to identify, encourage, disseminate and leverage the sharing of good innovative management practices existing at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the FIT4FUNDING project won.

The study performed by members of the MEDIR group, led by researcher Paula Macedo, presents a possible method of non-invasive diagnosis that could reduce the need for more expensive exams with greater risk for the patient.

The kick-off meeting of the Associated Laboratory LS4FUTURE took place last May 4th, joining NMS with other institutes such as ITQB NOVA, IGC, iBET and IPO.

Peer2Peer is a job market preparation program aimed at NOVA Medical School

Research carried out by several of our laboratories is supported by the LYSOCIL project and has been published in Traffic magazine.

The big winner of the 14th Edition of the Santander Collaborative Research Award/NOVA 2021 is the project “Graphene Smart Bandages for Diabetic Foot Ulcer Monitoring”. The responsible multidisciplinary team is made up of the researcher Inês Coelho, from group MEDIR at CEDOC and  by the researcher João Coelho, from CENIMAT/I3N, from the NOVA School of Science and Technology | NEW FCT.
