The Doctorate in Health and Wellbeing Sciences and Technologies allows us to deepen the complexity and centrality of health, distinguishing itself by its transdisciplinary, integrated and personalized approach, which covers the clinical, organizational, social and political dimensions. This programme lasts six semesters and is subdivided into three areas of specialization: Health and Technologies, Nursing and Health Sciences and Well-being.
It promotes advanced training in research, structured to prepare health professionals and others for the challenges of practice based on scientific evidence. It also aims to respond to the rapid changes in health systems and technologies, providing skills to develop and use innovative tools that optimize the provision of care, decision-making and the creation of value in health.
OBJECTIVES
The PhD in Health Sciences and Technologies and Well-being (DCTSBE) aims to promote scientific research and innovation, in close coordination with health research institutions and units, in accordance with internationally recognized quality standards. Within this framework, the main objectives are:

Specialized training: To provide students with advanced and comprehensive training adapted to the three areas of specialization - Health and Technologies, Nursing, and Health Sciences and Well-being.
