Master in Biochemistry for Health

OBJECTIVES

The Master course aims the development of a critical and analytical perspective of Biochemical issues related with Human Health.

This objective will be achieved through a sound knowledge base in biochemistry, with interfacial aspects of Biophysics, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry (especially inside a pharmacological perspective) and Human and Social Sciences. Thus Course main goal is to provide a multidisciplinary education supplying access to areas of research and development in several sectors of industry and services related to Human Health (e.g., Pharmaceutical Industry, Clinical Analysis and Biotechnology).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree holder in named area or in the Exact Sciences and Technology areas;
  • Holders of a foreign academic degree in required areas conferred following the 1st cycle of studies according to the Bologna Process;
  • Holders of a foreign academic degree in required areas recognized as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor´s degree by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Science and Technology;
  • Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to accomplish referred cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
