A group of students from the Bachelors Degree in Nutrition Sciences and the Masters in Human Nutrition and Metabolism won 1st place in the 3rd Echelon of the Eco-menu National Contest of the Eco-schools Program 2022/23.
The students submitted a proposal for a Menu based on the Mediterranean Diet to the competition, with the option of a menu adapted to celiacs and that can be easily prepared in school canteens, respecting the principles of sustainability both in the choice of ingredients and in the preparation of food.
On the 23rd of March, during the Regional Test that took place at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Setúbal, the group of students qualified for the National Test.
In the National Test, the students won 1st place in the 3rd Rank. This competition took place on April 18 at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Oeste and was sponsored by Jerónimo Martins.
