Challenges of healthcare among older adults & Health Promotion among Older Adults

14-Jan-2025

As the population ages, healthcare systems need to adapt to meet the complex and changing needs of older adults.

Thus, the workshop ‘Challenges of healthcare among older adults’ and the session ‘Health Promotion among Older Adults’ will explore innovative strategies and projects to improve the health outcomes of older adults, with a focus on managing chronic diseases, promoting healthy and active ageing and improving the provision of clinical care.

On January 14th, 2025, from 9am to 11.30am, the event ‘Challenge of Healthcare among Older Adults’, dedicated to doctors, health professionals and medical students, will be held in the MMM auditorium at NOVA Medical School, with the aim of exploring innovative clinical strategies to improve health outcomes in the older population.

On January 16, 2025*, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., in the MMM auditorium at NOVA Medical School, there will be a session entitled “Health Promotion among Older Adults”, aimed at health researchers, where innovative research projects in the areas of physical activity, digital health, nutrition and community health will be presented.

Both sessions will have the special participation of geriatrician Professor Francisco Tarazona from the Catholic University of Valencia and former member of the Board of the European Geriatric Medicine Society, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme.
