NOVA Medical School is strengthening its global positioning and launching a program to attract talent of international excellence. This is the NOVA Medical Global Talent Initiative, a program supported by the Haddad NOVA Medical Innovation Center, which aims to attract excellent international researchers to Portugal.

The program opens its doors to professionals from the United States, but was created to welcome talent from anywhere in the world, presenting itself as a solution for international researchers looking for more stable and innovative contexts in which to develop their work.

Portugal, and NOVA Medical School in particular, has established itself as a strategic destination for top talent. The program aims to strengthen the quality of scientific health research in Portugal, positioning the country as an international hub of knowledge and innovation.

This program aims to attract internationally proven researchers, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the creation of collaborative networks between Portuguese institutions and world reference centers. The selected researchers will be integrated into priority areas aligned with the school's knowledge centers, such as longevity, mental health, nutrition and metabolism, cancer and health policies, global health, medical technologies, artificial intelligence and health equity.

'We want to establish NOVA Medical School as an international platform for scientific excellence, capable of attracting the best talent and generating knowledge with a global impact,' says Helena Canhão, Dean of NOVA Medical School, adding 'this program is a key part of our internationalization strategy and strengthening the health innovation ecosystem in Portugal.

Cláudio Haddad, president of the Haddad Foundation, stresses the strategic importance of the initiative: 'we believe that investment in science is essential to tackle the major challenges facing global health. With this program, we want to help Portugal become a beacon of scientific excellence and innovation, capable of rivaling the best international centers.

With the support of the Haddad NOVA Medical Innovation Center and the involvement of strategic partners such as Cascais City Council, this initiative is part of a broader vision of scientific and economic development, also promoting entrepreneurship in health and the creation of qualified jobs.
