What is the role of Technology in Health? What can we expect from technological development in the treatment of present and future diseases? What doctor do we want in the future? Is the Doctor-Patient relationship threatened by technological development?
Questions that served as a starting point and were under discussion at the Conference “Health & Technology – What is the common ground?”, which took place on the 23rd of March, at Sala dos Actos, NOVA Medical School, in Lisbon.
To analyze the common points between Technology and Health, NMS will be attended by some of the most prominent names in this area, such as Karim Lekadir (Director of Artificial Intelligence at the Medical Laboratory, University of Barcelona), Marla Zinni Gil da Costa (Director of Usability and Neuroergonomia, Neuroverse Inc), Peter Villax (CEO & Founder, Mediceus), Márcio Navalho (CEO, Centro Internacional de Telemedicina) and Hugo Marques (Director of Digital Health, Siemens Healthineers).
This was one of the teaser conferences that marks the launch of the Estoril Conferences, which will take place on September 1st and 2nd, co-organized by NOVA Medical School, Nova School of Business & Economics, Câmara de Cascais and Turismo de Portugal.
Based on 4 pillars, Planet, Peace, Politics and People/Health, the Estoril Conferences, whose theme is “Rehumanizing the World”, will count on the participation of numerous speakers to promote a more just, equitable, sustainable and inclusive future.
In this round table, moderated by the journalist Sara Sá, the challenges of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on Health, Education and Economy were discussed, as well as understanding how they can help to “Rehumanize the World”.
