I am a PhD student at the Neurogenetics of Locomotion Lab at Nova Medical School. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Universidade de Évora and a Master's degree in Developmental Biology from Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa.
Before starting my PhD, I worked as a technician in the Cancer Development and Innate Immune Evasion Lab at the Champalimaud Foundation, where I contributed to research that resulted in two publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Currently, as a PhD candidate in Health Sciences, my research focuses on motor circuit development and the mechanisms underlying motor function, using the Drosophila melanogaster model.
