On September 29, NOVA Medical School joins the Portuguese Society of Cardiology to celebrate World Heart Day.
The commemoration begins at the Sanctuary of Cristo Rei, in Almada, where there will be Basic Life Support Training between 9am and 10.30am and a walk to Parque da Paz, also in Almada, where there will be a screening and healthy snack activity at 11.30am.
This day aims to raise awareness of the need to control the main risk factors, such as smoking, unhealthy eating and a sedentary lifestyle, in order to avoid early heart problems.
