NOVA Medical School launches summer program for higher education students

24-May-2024

NOVA Medical School has developed an innovative new program, Summer Medical School: Lifestyle, exclusively for higher education students, which will take place from July 22 to 26.

After the success of the 2023 edition, and with places for 2024 sold out, this pioneering initiative in Portugal gives students the opportunity to experience the multidisciplinary teaching of a school of medical sciences, in close connection with nutrition sciences, with two programs: Culinary Medicine and Technology, Innovation and Health.

The Culinary Medicine program will explore the intersection between nutrition and health, promoting the integration of culinary skills into medical practices. With a hands-on experience in NOVA Medical School's Kitchen Lab, this program will give participants specific skills to provide personalized help, while also allowing them to keep up with the evolution of medicine, taking into account the concept of 4 P's medicine - Predictive, Preventive, Personalized and Participatory.

The Technology, Innovation and Health program will focus on the latest trends and advances in medical innovation, with an emphasis on how technology is affecting the sector. Both programs will allow direct contact with various experts in their various fields.

To ensure an inclusive experience for students of different nationalities, these two courses will be taught in English.

The cost of participation is €250, excluding accommodation, or €400, including accommodation, and registration is open until June 16. For more information and to register, go to this link.
