NOVA Medical School welcomes new students

On September 9, NOVA Medical School officially began the 2024/25 academic year with the traditional Welcome Day, a warm welcome to the new students of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine and the Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Sciences.

The day began with a brief welcome session, initiated by the Director of NOVA Medical School, Professor Helena Canhão, who conveyed a message of welcome and motivation to the newcomers. Next, the course coordinators, Professor Carlos Filipe (Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine) and Professor Conceição Calhau (Degree in Nutritional Sciences), shared essential information about the programs that will accompany the students over the next few years.

The Students' Association, the Academic Service and the Quality Service also took part in the session, reinforcing the support the institution offers students throughout their academic career.

After the formal presentations, the students were treated to a performance by the Tuna Médica de Lisboa, who brought music and entertainment to the event, creating a moment of relaxation and conviviality.

The afternoon was dedicated to getting to know the school's facilities, where the new students, divided into groups, got to know NOVA Medical School. Among the places visited were the Anatomical Theater, Simulation Center, the Noble Spaces of the headquarters building, the Kitchen Lab, the Library and the research center.

The Welcome Day ended with a Sunset promoted by the NOVA Medical School Student Association, an ideal moment to promote socializing and integrate the new students.
