I have a master's degree in biochemistry. After three years working in industry, I began pursuing a PhD in health sciences.

My PhD research focuses on peritoneal dialysis (PD). The main limitation of this technique is the development of membrane fibrosis caused by prolonged exposure to PD fluids. We pretend to improve these outcomes by discovering early indicators that indicate the real state of the peritoneal membrane. With this information, physicians can tailor the PD prescription to each patient.
