“Igualdade de Género na NOVA Medical School: Onde estamos? Onde queremos estar?”, March 8th, 12pm, YouTube
On the occasion of the International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8th, everyone is invited to participate in the seminar “Gender Equality at NOVA Medical School: Where are we? Where do we want to be?” at 12pm on our YouTube channel (check direct link below).
This event will inaugurate a series of seminars where the thematic of gender equality in academia and research will be discussed, as part of the Gender Equality Plan of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, part of the SPEAR Project.
This first seminar will be opened by Patrícia Calado, Vice-Rector for Research and led by Paula Macedo, representative of the Gender Equality Plan at NOVA Medical School, where she is also a professor and principal investigator. SPEAR Project data will be shared, both from NOVA Medical School and Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, as well as strategies to mitigate inequalities.
After the presentation, there will be a round-table debate that will be attended by Doctor Nuno Mendonça, also a representative of the Gender Equality Plan, and NMS researchers, invited to discuss current challenges in academia and future solutions for promotion of equality.
