On The Road Estoril Conferences | “SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE | 50 ANOS | O PASSADO E O FUTURO”

On 29 May, at 5.30pm, the DEBATE ON THE ROAD TO ESTORIL CONFERENCES 2024 ‘HEALTH SERVICES | 50 YEARS | THE PAST AND THE FUTURE’ will take place, as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of 25 April and the half-century of democracy in Portugal.

The event will take place at the future NOVA Medical School campus in Carcavelos, in the AHED Building, and is the first NMS event in this new space.

The round table will be moderated by Laurinda Alves, executive director of Estoril Conferences, and will be attended by the Faculty's Director, Helena Canhão, together with the President of the Portuguese Medical Association, Carlos Cortes, the President of the Board of NOVA Medical School and former President of the Parliamentary Health Commission, Maria Antónia Almeida Santos, the Professor at NOVA Medical School and Head of the Urology Department, Hospital de São José, Luís Campos Pinheiro, and also Marta Passadouro, from EITHealth InnoStars Ecosystem Lead Portugal.

This round table will discuss the last and next 50 years of the health service in Portugal, thinking about its organisation, access and needs.

This initiative is part of the Estoril Conferences, which will take place on 24 and 25 October, co-organised by NOVA Medical School, Nova SBE, Digital Data Design Institute at Harvard, Cascais City Council and Turismo de Portugal.

Participation in the event is free, by registration until 27 May (restrict to capacity).
