NMS Post-Doc's retreat took place on October 1st at Jardim da Tapada das Necessidades and was organised by the NMS Post Doctoral Committee to strengthen the links between the postdoctoral community and create new scientific networks among these researchers.
According to the participants the meeting was a success. It started with a relaxed picnic at Jardim da Tapada das Necessidades that set the stage to the work that followed and to exchange ideas in an informal environment.
Despite working daily on the same campus, opportiunities for direct interations between the postdoctoral researchers are scarse. Thus, during this half-day meeting the researchers discussed scientific ideas and took the opportunity to get to know each other better with team-building activities. Inês Figueira from the Post-Doctoral Committee said that "we all had great fun, despite our campus is not that big, it is impressive how much we still don't know about each other and the work we conduct at NMS".
To end the day, the researchers went on a Hippotrip ride and had dinner at Chimera Brewpub and tasted craft beer.
