The PhD project has as main objective the development of multi-type cellular 3D-models of the human liver in which the role of CYP-enzyme complex factors will be studied for their pathophysiological role in the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its transition to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). This project is an integral part of the Horizon Europe funded project halt-RONIN (more here).
