Lisbon will once again host one of the world’s leading international conferences on science and health: the iMed Conference®, organized by the NOVA Medical School Student Association.
Recognized as “the best conference for medical students in Europe,” the event will take place from October 7 to 12, 2025, bringing together more than 600 participants — including students, physicians, and researchers — at the Professor Armando Simões dos Santos Auditorium in Lisbon.
The Main Event will feature a world-class scientific program, with lectures by internationally renowned speakers, over 70 hands-on workshops, and high-impact scientific competitions, positioning Lisbon as a hub of medical, technological, and scientific innovation.
The congress fosters not only the advancement of knowledge but also the development of clinical, technical, and communication skills that complement traditional medical training.
Each year, the iMed Conference® addresses some of the most pressing topics in medicine, reflecting the fields of greatest growth, research, and innovation. In 2025, the central themes will be Trauma, Oncology, and Psychiatry — three areas of profound clinical and social impact that will be at the forefront of discussions among leading healthcare professionals and researchers.
Confirmed speakers include internationally recognized figures such as physician and author Haider Warraich, a global leader in cardiology and palliative care; Ivanka Savic Berglund, a specialist in neuroscience; John Krakauer, a pioneer in neurological rehabilitation research; and Jag Dhanda, a British surgeon and researcher. Lisbon will also welcome experts such as Henrik Jungaberle, Ashleigh Lowther, Robert Tidswell, and Jan Theys, ensuring a scientific program of strong academic and media impact.
