Cardiologist at Hospital da Luz Lisboa (Coordinator of clinical cardiology, sports cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation) and at Health & Performance Department of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology; President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Society of Sports Medicine.

PhD in Medicine; Assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School - Professor of Pathophysiology 2, on the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine, and Professor of Nutrition in Sport, on the Degree in Nutrition Sciences. Coordinator of the Executive Master in Cardiovascular Prevention.

Researcher at the Comprehensive Health Research Center; Vice-President of CoLab Trials; member of the Scientific Committee of the NMS-Biobank, CHAIN. Associate Editor of the Portuguese Journal of Cardiology; Director of the SPC Sports course; Coordinator of the Cardiology Module of the Postgraduate Course in Sports Medicine of the Portuguese Society of Sports Medicine. Co-founder of the Cardio da Vida project.
