8th BenBedPhar Meeting - Thirty years since the discovery of NRF2

10-Oct-2024

The 8th BenBedPhar Meeting, themed "Thirty years since the discovery of NRF2" will take place at NOVA Medical School on October 10th and 11th, 2024.

NRF2 is a master regulator of multiple cytoprotective responses and a key molecular link among many non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This scientific meeting is a crucial platform for experts in the field to meet and discuss advances in understanding the role of the NRF2 pathway in health and disease.

To celebrate 30 years of NRF2 research, the meeting will present and discuss a broad spectrum of recent developments. Topics will include the role of NRF2 in brain disease, oxidative stress, inflammation and metabolism, as well as advances in new therapeutic approaches, drug discovery and the development of innovative research tools.

This meeting is part of a COST Action - BenBedPhar (Bench to bedside transition for Pharmacological regulation of NRF2 in NDC's) - that intends to build a network of excellence for integrating and spreading the existing knowledge and providing innovative services, drugs and tools related to NRF2-pharmacology, with the final goal of boosting the translation to the European industry sector.

With this initiative, BenBedPhar continues its mission of providing a dynamic space for researchers to collaborate, share results and foster connections between various life science disciplines.
