On October 31, NOVA Medical School is promoting the 2nd edition of the activity “Outdoor Exercise for Fall Prevention”, an initiative aimed at people aged 55 and over, which will take place in the Mercado de Culturas, Lisboa.
This event will be attended by doctors, physiotherapists and exercise teachers, with the main aim of promoting simple and accessible knowledge and practices.
Falls in the older population are one of the main causes of serious injuries and loss of autonomy. These practices can be easily integrated into participants' daily lives and aim, in the long term, to reduce the risk of falls, one of the biggest public health challenges among the senior population.
The initiative is the result of collaboration between NOVA Medical School, the Arroios Parish Council and the Arroios Senior Academy, which are part of the Reference Center for Active and Healthy Aging (Lisbon AHA). Over the years, these partnerships have developed innovative solutions that promote active and healthy ageing.
Join this initiative and discover how simple changes in your daily life can have a significant impact on your health and safety. Sign up here and start taking care of your well-being now.
