iNOVA4Health

iNOVA4Health is a translational medicine research unit that brings together fundamental biology, technology development and clinical research in a single integrated ecosystem. Rather than operating across parallel domains, iNOVA4Health is designed to connect discovery to application, accelerating the path from scientific insight to clinical impact.

Our mission is to transform scientific knowledge into actionable solutions in diagnostics, therapies and healthcare. By bridging ageing and disease, iNOVA4Health advances precision medicine approaches that address some of the most pressing health challenges of our time.

At the heart of iNOVA4Health are people. We are committed to fostering scientific careers, training the next generation of researchers, and creating a collaborative environment where different disciplines converge to generate new knowledge.

Based in the Lisbon area, iNOVA4Health brings together five partners linked to Universidade NOVA de Lisboa: NOVA Medical School (NMS), Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB NOVA), Portuguese Oncology Institute of Lisbon Francisco Gentil (IPOLFG), and NOVA Institute for Medical Systems Biology (NIMSB). Together, we combine expertise in biomedical research, biotechnology, systems biology and clinical medicine.

Through strong academic, clinical and industry collaborations, iNOVA4Health conducts excellent, clinically relevant research that advances precision medicine and drives innovative, societally impactful health solutions.

iNOVA4Health (UID/4462/2025) is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), I.P. | Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation
